It’s been a very busy year at Pea Consultancy. We’ve handled projects as diverse as an introduction to cryptocurrency and manually migrating thousands of courses from one VLE to another, for clients as varied as a Swiss bank opened in the 1880s and a start up in their first months of operation.
One of the best things about 2023 for us was the range of durations of projects on which we worked. The longest took almost the entire year. The shortest took just three days. The beauty of our setup is our flexibility to engage on projects large and small, long and short.
Asked to choose her favourite project Ellis picked the 9-month instructional design project she completed with a university in London. The long-term nature of the work allowed her to get stuck right in and the E-learning that was created imparted vital information to tens of thousands of students across the globe. Of the project, Ellis said, “The in-house staff were a pleasure to work with throughout. I enjoyed working on such a long project and getting to know the people in the team. It helped that the work we were doing was extremely important to so many students, allowing them to achieve their potential more easily.”
Matt, on the other hand, decided his favourite work was handling a large data transfer project on behalf of an overstretched startup. Matt said, “the work itself wasn’t especially interesting. We were brought in, as we so often are, to provide an additional level of support to projects that cannot be handled by core staff. However, I happened to really like the people I was working with and that’s 90% of the project for me. I have absolutely no doubt we’ll work with this particular client again. I just hope I didn’t sing their praises too loudly to Ellis, otherwise she’ll nick them for herself!”
It’s been a good year for Pea Consultancy and we’re very much looking forward to 2024.
